What merchants ask first

Will this touch my customers' data?
No. We read products and stock — never orders, names or emails. Our Shopify app can't even request customer data.
Can a bad rule break my prices in ads?
No. Price mismatches are the #1 cause of Google suspensions, so price is the one field rules can never rewrite. Feeds always carry the price your store reports.
What if my store or export goes down?
We keep serving the last good version of every feed. Your ads never see an empty feed — which is what wipes campaigns on other tools.
Do I still need a Google Merchant Center account?
Yes — your feed lives in your own Google Merchant Center, Meta Commerce Manager or comparator account, so you stay in control. Feedrobin gives you a feed URL to paste there once; after that, updates flow automatically and quality checks catch rejections before Google does.
I'm not on Shopify — does it work for me?
Yes. Paste the product export your platform already generates — Google XML, a Heureka/Compari-style comparator feed, or CSV. WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Magento, BigCommerce, OpenCart, Shopware, Gomag, MerchantPro and most others have one built in — field names don't need to match exactly, we read the common variants.
How fast do price and stock changes reach my feed?
Shopify stores sync in near real time — we receive a webhook the moment a product changes and the catalog updates within minutes. URL-connected stores re-sync every hour on Growth and Scale, nightly on Starter. Feeds are generated fresh on every fetch, so channels never download a stale file — and if your store or export ever goes down, we keep serving the last good version.
Can my products show up in ChatGPT?
Yes — Feedrobin generates a feed in OpenAI's product feed spec (JSONL, currently in beta), the format ChatGPT shopping and OpenAI Ads read. Enroll as a merchant at chatgpt.com/merchants; once OpenAI verifies your business and gives you an upload endpoint, submit the file Feedrobin keeps fresh. Our guide walks through every step.
What is a product feed and why do I need one?
A product feed is a structured file (XML or CSV) listing your products — titles, prices, images, stock, barcodes — in the exact format each channel expects. Google Shopping, Facebook & Instagram ads and price comparators all read your catalog from a feed; without a clean one, your products simply don't show.
